Helpful Hints for Online Banking & Lockouts

Avenue Bank’s additional authentication questions were implemented to increase the level of protection for your online banking information. These measures may take a few additional seconds, but add a much higher level of security and are typical of industry standards.

Online Banking Client Service assistance is available 24/7 at 1-866-563-5312.

(Not applicable for Treasury Management accounts.)

 Passwords:

  • You are allowed 3 attempts to enter the correct User ID and Password; after that the account will be locked out and require a password reset.
  • If you are locked out due to the wrong password or authentication response:
    • Your Avenue Banker can re-set your access during normal banking hours. Call 615.252.2265.
    • You can get assistance 24/7 at 1-866-563-5312.
    • If the lockout is due to an incorrect authentication response (NOT incorrect password) you can wait 24 hours and then go to www.avenuenashville.com, and select ‘Forgot Passcode’ on the login screen. You will need to enter your User ID, Social Security #, and account number to reset a new password.

Security Verification Questions & Responses:

Security verification responses are not case sensitive, but must match punctuation marks used in your original response.

Need to see your response as you enter it?  To display your response as you enter it: in the Additional Authentication Required box click on the red link that says “Show My Security Answers”.  This will display what you are typing. Choose this each time you need to display your response.

Need a reminder?  If you have forgotten the answer you entered for a question, you can view your responses in the “User Services” tab; under “Security Settings”, select “Change Security Verification Questions” and then select “Show My Security Answers”. (You can also modify your responses from this screen.)

Want to change your questions? If you want to modify your choice of Security Verification Questions or the responses to the questions, select “User Services”, then under “Security Settings” select “Change Security Verification Questions”. You can select a new question from the drop down menu, and submit a new response.
