Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer

Aaron was one of the “Original 11” in starting Avenue Bank and worked on all elements of the business plan and start-up, as well as development of the brand, naming the bank, logo design, and the concierge banking concept. In 2009, Aaron left the bank to join the United States Marine Corps as an Intelligence Officer, where he served in Afghanistan and was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for his service. He returned to Avenue Bank in 2012 as the Director of Concierge Banking, leading our retail branches. He now serves as our Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer. In this role, he continues to oversee the concierge banking experience, strategic planning, and all aspects of marketing, including advertising, media relations, sponsorships and all other brand-related initiatives. In addition, he works closely with CEO Ron Samuels to facilitate corporate strategies to achieve our company’s goals.

Aaron is a 2003 graduate of Florida State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Multinational Business Operations and Finance as well as International Affairs. He currently serves on the board of directors for Rocketown as the chair of the governance committee. He is the former chairman of the Davidson County Young Republicans and has served as a co-chairman of the Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity Golf Tournament. He and his wife, Erin, have two little girls. In addition to being an expert in rifle and pistol marksmanship, he also has a passion for music. In his free time, he loves writing songs and playing the guitar.
